Dr. Raveendran

With great pleasure I welcome members of the ISMST, your families and friends to the 2016 congress to be held in the city of Kuching in Sarawak, Malaysia. Kuching is a modern and vibrant city with a beautiful waterfront. It is now a popular convention centre because of its excellent facilities and infrastructure. There are frequent daily flights between Kuching, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. Sarawak has everything to offer the intrepid traveller. Here you can experience its beauty and charm. You will be able to visit the vast Mulu caves and some of the oldest rainforests in the world. It is also the home of the hornbill and the endangered orangutan. Kuching is a springboard for visits to Sabah, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

The congress will be held at the Pullman Hotel, Kuching (www.pullmankuching.com) from 14th to 16th July 2016. We will focus on the latest developments in shockwave therapy and basic research. We will also discuss its most recent applications. The theme of the conference will be: “SHOCKWAVE IS A FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH”. We hope to encourage the usage of shockwave in the Asia Pacific region by hosting this conference.  We expect a large turnout from this region, as Malaysia is centrally located. We are planning several Malaysian themed social events for you to get a taste of  the local culture.  I look forward to welcoming you all to this special event. You will not regret you came and had the opportunity to experience the delicious local cuisine, the tropical landscape, the diverse people of Sarawak and the quintessential Malaysian hospitality.
